Fifth Chair revises website

After many years with the same “look” the Fifth Chair website (http://www.fifthchair.org) has undergone a complete revision. “Both the graphic look and the content of the site have been revised,” said Dawn Charles, Vice-Chairman of Fifth Chair’s Board of Directors. “Major improvements to both navigation and content organization were made,” she said.

Most of the original website features were kept, and several new features were added in the process. Visitors can now donate and volunteer via the site. A full description of the organization’s existing programs, forums and an archive of bridge materials were added as well.

“The archive is still a work-in-progress and I expect that it will be as long as the site exists,” Charles explained.

Web consultant John Tuttle of Rochester, N.Y. was engaged to facilitate the redesign. “As a bridge player myself, I was thrilled with the opportunity to give the Fifth Chair site a facelift,” he said. “John’s expertise was a blessing and the changes he instituted in navigation alone have made the site much more user-friendly,” added Charles.

The Fifth Chair Foundation is a not-for-profit,
tax-exempt (in the U.S.) organization.
